(1) G 7000 X
Mr. Stewart was installed by Dunham in the shaft and spent the day painting a watercolor of the chamber. Said remained with Mr. Stewart in the pit all day.

(2) Street G 7000 S (south)
Continued clearing away railroad embankment west of G 7152 (north end) and also underlying surface debris which was largely sebbakh siftings. Further northwest of G 7153 and east of G 7050 (north of chapel), worked out layer of harder debris above rock, and this contained usual Saite fragments of amulets, pottery, etc. Here was opened G 7050 X. See (5) below.
