(2) Street G 7100 S
Work continued on pits.
Finished clearing street east of S chamber G 7140 and nearly finished clearing G 7141 Saite-Ptolemaic a large vault to south of that chapel.
[ILLUSTRATION]
Apparently pit i was used for access to G 7141 and to vault in room a. Thus the roof over chamber c was merely a repair.
The diagonal wall above the south wall of G 7141 was apparently intended to strengthen or repair the vault (of crude brick).
The south wall of Saite-Ptolemaic G 7141 was merely a retaining wall built against old sand debris on south.
