irregular pit, in chamber (1) a blue glazed rattle in the form of a duck [MFA 12.1193] (length ca. 6 cm) and (2) a large blue glazed barrel shaped bead [MFA 12.1194] [ILLUSTRATION] (length ca. 4 cm).

Rail track, being opened along face of mastabas d [= G 2190] and e [= G 2200] by shovelman, reached north corner of e [= G 2200].
Rail track started to clear large mastaba [= G 2220] north of b3 [= G 2170].

Started clearing pit in b1 [= G 2130].

Cleared serdab of Lepsius 26 [= G 2378]. Had been opened, possibly by Mariette.

A great many visitors both yesterday and today to see the new tomb.
