  • Remarks
The southern end of ABC 700 was built abutting the northern wall of ABC 884, and thus postdates ABC 884. Phase 1 of the "ABC 700 Mastaba Complex" included only the southern portion of the complex (ABC 700), which was built on top of an earlier mastaba, ABC 725. The original owner of ABC 725 may have been an ancestor of the owner of the later ABC 700 Complex. Phase 2 saw the complex enlarged to the north, resulting in the inclusion of ABC 725 into the design of the complex. After its completion, the ABC 700 Complex continued to be used as a burial place for later generations with at least nine intrusive burials underneath the walls of the corridor chapel.
