    This object was excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition, but was not recorded in any object register book. Excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
  • Remarks
    See handwritten tomb cards by A.M. Lythgoe, where the tomb of Merib, G 2100-I (= Lepsius 24) is numbered G 2500. This number was later abandoned. Tomb cards (in order): EG014935, EG014934, EG014936, EG014937, EG014938. Based on Lythgoe's description, this flint is probably from shaft F of G 2100 (probably tomb of Sedit). Objects labeled by Lythgoe as G 2500/7 are called "alabaster fragments" and were found at depth of 3.5 m, in NE corner of shaft. Apparently flints not recorded on the tomb cards were also labeled G 2500/7.
