A pit between 3030 and 3040 [= G 1451], near north-east corner of 3040 [= G 1451] was cleared out this morning of dark debris. In debris a few more ceremonial pots and saucers and two fragments of a large red-polished jar. (See diary for yesterday).
Work on pits A, B, C, D of 3041, a stone mastaba. Clearing out limestone debris from A and sand from B, C, D. In B a burial was uncovered about ___ cm. below top. A photograph was made of this mastaba. This mastaba joins onto north end of 3040 and runs out into space between 3030 and 3050.
Work on space between 3030 and 3050 clearing out sand, and in some places underlying dark debris. In space near corner made by joining together of 3040 [= G 1451] and 3050 part of large red-polished cylindrical jar of thick ware.
