Clearing sand and hard-packed pottery and limestone debris from top of mastaba 3020. In sand near south end a fragment of an inscribed limestone stela with part of a cartouche. G 16-17
Telegram from Fisher asking for main portion of Committee’s letter re Tanis, which was sent.
Telegram from Dr. Reisner with instructions re trouble with guards at Bersheh.
Cold, with strong southwest wind.
The Turks are retreating from the Canal.
