…dark debris. Chamber of 3033 being cleared of sand, and also sand and stone from the top of 3034, and sand from between 3008 and 3026.

Sunday, February 28, 1915

Finished clearing shafts A to C of 3005. Of the divisions in the offering room of 3033 that at the south (X) is cleared. A chamber (X) of 3026 is cleared of sand. The lowest block of the right jamb of the door has a row of men in low relief bearing offerings. The space between 3033 and 3034 has been cleared of sand, as are also the shafts and chamber Y of the latter.
A severe sand storm came up this morning and work had to be stopped at 10.45. Work was resumed at 1 p.m. but stopped shortly after 4. A disagreeable day, wind northwest.

Monday, March 1, 1915

Rest day. Mr. Fisher arrived from the Sudan this morning. Showed a number of officers over the excavations. A ricochet struck near the lower camp this afternoon. A cold northwest wind.

Tuesday, March 2, 1915

Clearing sand and hard packed dark limestone debris from mastaba 3034.
