Monday, February 15, 1915

Day of rest for the men. Went in to town to get the money for the wages. Spent rest of morning at Museum.

Tuesday, February 16, 1915

Work resumesd. Chamber Y[?] of mastaba 2093 [= G 3093] is now cleared, as is also X and the passage leading from it; both are filled with dark debris. In the northwest end of the passage, i.e. NW corner of offering room, reclining against the wall was the stone statuette of a man, much battered and weathered, G30; photograph C41 shows this partly cleared, and C40 fully cleared with the stuccoed niche of the offering room behind it. In the small room (W) were found the fragments of a small wooden statuette, this was near the fine limestone statuette (G21) already described.
Chamber Z of this mastaba is also filled with dark debris, and the shafts A to E, which are being cleared in this mastaba, have a mixture of limestone and dark debris. Along the west face of the mastaba there is sand. In chamber X of 2094 [= G 3094] there is hard packed debris, in which near the eastern end was an inscribed limestone log lintel, G31, with the name “House-master, Khuwt.” In this mastaba there are four shafts, A-D,
