(1) [Avenue G] 2

A crew of workmen was working on this shaft. They were clearing around Mastaba 7432. They were removing the Roman debris accumulated in front of the niche.
We uncovered a mud brick chamber in front of the niche. We cleared this chamber.
Also, Abd Al-Karim was working on shaft [7432] A. Its fill is sand, dark soil, rubble and limestone chips. The fill is mixed up. There is a rock-cut sarcophagus in the burial chamber. Its lid is also cut into the rock. The sarcophagus is filled with Roman debris.
They found:
1 alabaster slab
1 alabaster object
They cleared this shaft to a depth of 6.45 m. The drawing of Mastaba 7432 and that of this shaft are on the next page (148).

(2) [Street G] 7300

Work was progressing on the northern end of this street. They were clearing debris of limestone chips, rubble, mud bricks and stone blocks. They uncovered a mud brick structure in front of the niche. It is perhaps a Dynasty 6 shaft, but we are not sure. They found an inscribed limestone fragment.
Also, a crew of workmen was working to the north of the street. They were removing the embankment of the railways. They were also exposing the corners of Mastaba 7310 and Mastaba 7410.
