(10) [Shaft] 7214 M (continued)

The skeleton is disturbed. We left it in place for photography. This shaft is 1.24 m. deep.

(11) [Shaft] 7214 N

Abd Al-Salam Abd Al-Aziim and a crew of workmen were working on this shaft. The fill is
wind-blown sand and some rubble. They found many pits near this shaft, containing the same debris of limestone rubble and sand. This shaft is 4.00 m deep.

(12) [Shaft] 7214 O

Khalil Abu Al-Hamed was working on this shaft. The fill of the shaft is mixed up because of plundering activities. The walls of the shaft are built with mud bricks and stone blocks. The burial chamber is on the south. The burial chamber is roofed with two stone slabs. This shaft is 1.55 m. deep.

(13) [Shaft] 7320 X

Atittu and a crew of workmen were working on this shaft. They were removing debris of limestone chips, rubble and stone blocks. The debris is mixed up because of plundering activities. They cleared this shaft to a depth of 8 m. They found in the debris:

(14) [Shaft] 7510 B

Hasan Abu Al-Youssir and a crew of workmen were working on this shaft. They were removing debris of sand, limestone chips, rubble and stone blocks. They cleared this shaft to a depth of 10 m.

Thursday, January 15, 1925

The workforce was 152 workmen. Work was progressing on (1) Street [G] 7300; (2) Street [G] 7400; (3) shaft 7102 G; (4) shaft 7130 B; (5) shaft 7214 N; (6) 7214 P; (7) shaft 7320 X; (8) shaft 7430 A; and (9) shaft 7510 B.

(1) [Street G] 7300

Work was progressing on the area in front of the chapel of Mastaba 7310 and in front of Mastaba 7320. They were removing debris of rubble, limestone chips, stone blocks and dark soil. This debris is from the Roman [Period]. They are also clearing dark soil accumulated in front of Mastaba 7320. We moved the railways a little to the rear.
