(1) [Street G] 7300

Work was progressing on this street. They were removing debris of limestone chips, rubble, potsherds and stone blocks. The debris is mixed up because of sebakh-digging activities. Under this debris, there is a layer of sand and dark soil, which dates to the Roman [Period]. There is another layer of sand, limestone chips and rubble under the Roman layer.
Another crew was working to the south of the chapel of Mastaba 7320. We cleared the street. We have not yet finished clearing Mastaba 7420.
We were also working to the north of the chapel. We uncovered a mud brick wall, which perhaps date to the Roman [Period]. This wall is blocking off the street. It is built on top of an original layer of debris.
