Wednesday, November 13, 1935, the Pyramids

The workforce was 7 people. Excavation was progressing in (1) shafts G 2347a D and E [= G 5564 B and C]; [and] (2) east of Mastaba 2357 [= G 5554, G 5555, G 5561] and shaft S [= G 5561 S].

(1) Shafts 2347a D [and] E [= G 5564 B and C]

Shaft 2347a D [= G 5564 B]

Othman [Youness] and the workmen were in [the shaft and] the burial chamber. They dug down a total of 405 cm. The debris is dark soil and some rubble. We moved the limestone block that was found in the shaft in front of the burial chamber entrance. We moved it after photographing it in place. We also found in the fill of the shaft:

1 fragment of limestone, inscribed with hieroglyphs

5 pottery jars

We reached the bottom of the shaft; we have not yet cleared the burial chamber. We moved it to the magazine. Here is a sketch of the abovementioned stone:
