There was no work because of the market.

Wednesday, April 3, 1935, the Pyramids

The workforce was 7 people. Excavation was progressing (1) south of mastaba 1209.

(1) South of Mastaba 1209

Barbary Ahmed and 7 workmen were south of this mastaba on the street. The debris is wind-blown sand, limestone chips, and mudbrick fragments. They found in the fill pottery cups and dishes. They have not yet cleared the eastern face of the rubble mastaba on the street. They are looking for the shafts of the rubble mastaba but have not yet found them.

Thursday, April 4, 1935, the Pyramids

The workforce was 7 people. Excavation was progressing (1) south of Mastaba 1209; (2) shafts 1210 A, B, C, and D; (3) Mastaba 2210; and (4) shaft 1359 A.

(1) South of Mastaba 1209

Barbary Ahmed and 7 workmen were south of this mastaba on the street. The debris is wind-blown sand, limestone chips, and mudbrick fragments. They cleared the eastern face of the rubble mastaba. They did not find shafts.

(2) Shafts 1210 A, B, C, and D

We lifted the bones of the skeleton after drawing and photography. We did not find anything in the burial chamber. Here is its drawing:
