Saturday, December 8, 1934, the Pyramids
The workforce was 7 people. Excavation was progressing on (1) shaft 1233-Annex A; and (2) on top of Mastaba 1351.
(1) Shaft 1233-Annex A
Said Hasan and 7 workmen were in the burial chamber of this shaft. The debris is sand, limestone chips, rubble, flint, and reddish soil. They cleared the burial chamber and found pieces of wooden coffin. They have not yet reached the rock bottom of the shaft.
(2) On Top of Mastaba 1351
The abovementioned workmen were working on top of this mastaba to the south. The debris is limestone chips, rubble, sand, and stone blocks. Clearance was conducted in search of the second shaft. They have not yet found it.
Sunday, December 9, 1934, the Pyramids
The workforce was 7 people. Excavation was progressing on (1) top of Mastaba 1351.
(1) On Top of Mastaba 1351
Said Hasan and 7 workmen were on top of this mastaba to the south. The debris is limestone chips, rubble, and sand from the core of the mastaba. Clearance was conducted in search of the second shaft. They have not yet found [it].
