Sunday, December 2, 1934, the Pyramids
The workforce was 7 people. Excavation was progressing on (1) [Mastaba] 1407 chapel a; and (2) [Mastaba] 1457 chapel a.
(1) [Mastaba] 1407 Chapel a
Said Hasan and a crew of 7 workmen were working in this chapel. The debris is sand, dark soil, and fragments of mudbricks. They have not yet cleared it.
(2) [Mastaba] 1457 Chapel a
The abovementioned workmen were working on the western side of this chapel. The debris is limestone chips, rubble, and sand. They were preparing the floor for building the pillars of the concrete ceiling. They have not yet reached bedrock.
Monday, December 3, 1934, the Pyramids
The workforce was 7 people. We paid them their wages: a total of 235 piasters. Excavation was progressing on (1) [Mastaba] 1407 chapel a.
(1) [Mastaba] 1407 Chapel a
Said Hasan and a crew of 7 workmen were working in this chapel. The debris is sand, dark soil, and fragments of mudbricks. They found in the fill two pottery jars: one complete and the other broken. They cleared the chapel. Its floor is mud plaster on bedrock. Here is its drawing:

There was no work because of the market.
Wednesday, December 5, 1934, the Pyramids
The workforce was 7 people. Excavation was progressing on (1) top of [the] Mastaba 1233-Annex; and (2) north of the entrance of [Mastaba] 1407 chapel a.
(1) On Top of Mastaba 1233-Annex
Said Hasan and 7 workmen were working on top of this mastaba searching for shaft 1233-Annex A. The debris is sand, limestone chips, rubble, and flint. They found the shaft.
(2) North of Entrance of [Mastaba] 1407 Chapel a
The abovementioned workmen were working north of this chapel. The debris is wind-blown sand. They cleared the entrance of the chapel.
