The abovementioned workmen were working on top of this mastaba in the southeastern corner. The debris is limestone chips, rubble, sand, and dark soil. Clearance was conducted in search of the serdab or inscribed stone blocks. They have not yet found them.

Thursday, November 1, 1934, the Pyramids

The workforce was 7 people from home [i.e., Qeft]. Excavation was progressing on (1) Mastaba 1457.

(1) Mastaba 1457

Hamid and some of the workmen from home [i.e., Qeft] were working on top of this mastaba in the southeastern corner and in the area between this mastaba and Mastaba 1407. The debris is limestone chips, rubble, sand, and dark soil. Clearance was conducted in search of the serdab and inscribed limestone blocks. They have not [yet] found them.

The workforce was 7 people from home [i.e., Qeft]. Excavation was progressing on (1) Mastaba 1457.

Hamid Qenawi and some of the workmen from home [i.e., Qeft] were working in this mastaba in the southeastern corner, on the street located between this mastaba and Mastaba 1407. The debris is sand, rubble, and stone blocks. They were searching for the serdab and inscribed stone blocks. They have not yet found them.

The workforce was 7 people from Nazlet es-Samman. Excavation was progressing on (1) Mastaba 1457.
