(3) Shafts 1609 A and B

Shaft 1609 A

Hasan Abu el-Yousser investigated the site and did not find anything. We took out the deceased’s remains and brought them up to the house [possibly to the lab].

The same as in shaft A.

(4) Shafts 1611 B, C and D

Shaft 1611 B

Dahi Mohamed looked around the deceased [skeleton] but did not find anything. We took out the deceased’s bones and brought them up to the house.

Shaft 1611 C

The same as in shaft [B]. They searched around the deceased and brought up his remains.

Shaft 1611 D

Mohamed Radwan searched around the deceased. He found 5 small pottery plates. We took the deceased’s remains out and brought them up to the house.

(5) Shafts 1618 A, B, C and D

Shaft 1618 A

Hussein Elawey and Hussein Awad removed the blockage. The fill is limestone chips and sand. They found a deceased child. His head is toward the south. It was found lying on top of the fill in the shaft. We left it for photography.

Shaft 1618 B

The abovementioned workmen removed the blockage from the burial chamber entrance. The fill is rubble, stones and sand. They found a deceased [skeleton] in contracted position. His head is toward the north. Remains of denigrated linen wrappings were found with the skeleton. We left it for photography. These are its drawings:
