(6) Shaft 7101 Q (continued)

The head of the skeleton is right at the entrance of the burial chamber. It seems that this burial was intrusive. This burial was originally in a coffin, because traces of the coffin remain. But, if this skeleton belonged to the owner of the shaft, it must have been brought outside the burial by tomb robbers. In another scenario, if we found another skeleton in the burial chamber, this skeleton must be intrusive.

(7) Shaft 7101 R

The same as in shaft 7101 Q.

(8) Shaft 7101 S

Abd Al-Karim was working on shaft 7101 S. He was removing debris of limestone chips, rubble and limestone blocks. The burial chamber is on the north and it is sealed with rubble. The ceiling of the burial chamber is roofed with stone slabs; it is not cut into the Gebel. They dug down a total of 180 cm.

(9) Shaft 7101 T

Hashim and and some of the people were on shaft 7101 T. They were removing debris of limestone chips, rubble and stone blocks. They cleared it to a depth of 2 meters. There is no burial chamber. They found in the shaft:
1 large copper ring
1 flint tool
1 fragment of a faience figurine
1 fragment of a faience ring
1 pottery plate, complete
1 pottery plate, broken into two pieces
fragments of pottery plates
pieces of cloth

(10) Shaft 7101 U

And also, Hashim and some of the people were on shaft 7101 U. They were removing debris of limestone chips, rubble and stone blocks. The debris is mixed because of plundering activities. They dug down a total of 4 meters. The burial chamber is on the west. The walls of the shaft are built with mud brick and rubble. There was nothing in the shaft.

(11) Shaft 7101 V

Abd Al-Karim was working on shaft 7101 V. He was removing debris of limestone chips and rubble. The burial chamber is on east. It is blocked with rubble. We exposed the blocking stones for photography.

(12) Shaft 7110 [B]

Barabary and some of the people continued working on shaft 7110 B. They were removing debris of limestone chips, blocks, and rubble. The debris is very mixed.

This burial chamber is unfinished, as the walls of the western side of the burial chamber are left rough. Apparently, the owner of the shaft died before its completion, so they had to bury him hastily.
We found:
1 small alabaster plate
½ alabaster cup

The drawing of the burial chamber is on page 62.

(13) Shafts 7120 [A and B]

Ali Mahmud and a crew of workmen were on shaft 7120 A. They were removing debris of clean sand and large stone blocks. They dug down a total of 8.6 m. They found:
1 faience scarab, uninscribed
1 handle of a copper vessel
1 lower part of a faience figurine
