The workforce was 62 workmen from the village. We paid them their wages: a total of 1621.2 piasters. Excavation was progressing on (1) Pyramid [G] I-b; (2) Mastaba 7120.

(1) [Pyramid G] I-b

Excavation was progressing on the area around Pyramid [G] I-b. They were removing the embankment of the railway tracks. They were also clearing debris of rubble, stone blocks, limestone chips, dark soil and potsherds. This debris is mixed, because of sebakh-activities. We cleared this area on the Roman pavement. We uncovered the Roman silos. Remains of barely were found in one of the silos. They found in the debris:
1 torso of a faience figurine
6 flint tools
1 lower portion of a faience figurine
1 head of a shawabti
1 fragment of a shawabti, inscribed
3 fragments of faience bowls
½ faience ring decorated with a scene
8 small pottery cups
4 fragments of an alabaster statuette
1 fragment of an alabaster [offering] table
1 small pottery plate
1 fragment of a limestone block, inscribed with a scene of a human head
1 fragment of a faience bowl, decorated
1 pottery barrel-shaped bead
1 copper chisel
1 mud seal with sealing impression
1 faience figurine, missing the head and the base
1 faience figurine, missing the head
1 faience object, inscribed
½ fragments of faience amulets
1 spout of a stone vessel
1 stone object
1 seashell
1 copper ring
1 faience figurine
1 faience figurine, uninscribed
1 faience barrel-shaped bead
½ faience barrel-shaped bead
1 torso of a faience shawabti

(2) Mastaba 7120

And also a crew of workmen was excavating behind Mastaba 7120. They were removing debris of rubble, limestone chips and potsherds. The debris is mixed, because of the sebakh-activities. They uncovered a silo on the pavement between this mastaba and Mastaba 7130. This silo has insects [?]. It seems that this silo once contained all kinds of grain at the time of the Romans [Late Period].
