(4) G 1606
Clearing rubble and mud mastaba. Found pit A.
G 1606 A: Down 1.9 meters. Mud brick above, rock cut below. Chamber on west.

(5) G 1607
Clearing rock cut tomb; clearing Room 'a'.

(6) G 1608
Rock-cut tomb, east of G 1607. Clearing drift-sand and rubble from Room 'a'. Five niches in west wall, and a low mud mastaba beneath then as offering ledge. In the south wall is a cemented recess, closed with two slabs, one slab pierced, which is evidently the serdab and apparently undisturbed. Three responses in east wall, with pits descending from them. Opened serdab and found seated limestone statuette of owner, inscribed down front of seat at sides [GLYPHS] right hand open on right knee, left hand clenched on knee, wig covered ears (Dynasty 4). The sand in the floor of the serdab was over the feet. In sand found traces of wood, merely as discoloration of sand, with small scraps of color from its surface. Traces of at least two, and perhaps three wooden statuettes (?). [ILLUSTRATION] Found in debris of Room 'a', fragments of inscribed limestone reliefs - possibly from doorway inscription.

(7) G 1609
Rock-cut tomb, east of G 1608. The inscription over the door is almost entirely removed by salt, but traces remain: [GLYPHS].
Found in debris outside door, limestone libation basin, uninscribed.
