G 2220 B: Moved wooden coffin [33-4-21], on beams, to the entrance of chamber and cased it in wooden beams ready for hoisting. Rigged shear-legs for lifting and brought winch over from east excavation area.

Clearing dumping area inside boundary wall.

G 5230 A: Clearing chamber of debris. Found: model jar (alabaster) [33-1-81], four fragments of limestone canopic jar(s?) [33-1-82], three fragments of pottery bowls [33-1-79, 33-1-80].

Commenced clearance of area south of mastaba G 2370, on which the guard's hut was originally built. Uncovered the south end of a small masonry mastaba, number G 2341 [= G 5540].

G 5230 A: Clearing chamber debris.

G 2220 B: Dr. Derry continued examination of body, and removed bones, etc. Among the wrappings [33-4-22] were found two pieces of linen with a black-ink hieratic inscription.

Brought sarcophagus [wood coffin 33-4-21] up and placed in store room.
