Tuesday, January 12, 1926
Day of rest.

The west wind continues, but the dust and sand have ceased. The storm seems to be weakening.

This morning Mr. Rice of the Thomson-Huston Co. brought out the switch board, the lamp guards and other material (including a signal bell) and mounted them ready to let down the pit.
As soon as I can get Said Ahmed back and Mahmud Qenawi on his feet, we can begin.
