No. 1374: Having now cleared all the loose copper trappings and detached fragments of gold from 1374, we proceeded to remove the larger gold sheets of the beam which were also detached from the beam. (They had only been clamped between the copper bottom and the wood, not nailed.) [ILLUSTRATION]
(e) from east side of beam a[SYMBOL], length 53.5, width 6.6, [ILLUSTRATION].
(f) from top side (b) of beam, adjoins (e). The spaces in the pattern are mostly holes, gold, length 39.2 cm, and eighteen fragments and scraps of same. [ILLUSTRATION].
(g) lies under (f) and is adjoining west side of c[SYMBOL], gold, length 52.3 cm, at each end is a thin overlap piece, a small staple. [ILLUSTRATION].
(h) The next section of gold case north of (e), (f), (g), the short end section is still attached (?) to beam. length 82.1 cm. West side a[SYMBOL] = 7.0 cm, west side b[SYMBOL] = 7.0 cm, west side c[SYMBOL] = 6.75 cm. [ILLUSTRATION].
Packed (e), (f), (g) and (h) on thin boards as sent up.

No. 1367: Gold pole, advanced table over 1351. Wheeler lifted pole onto table, gold case is intact. [ILLUSTRATION] Wood inside badly decayed, gesso. Poured wood fragments out at butt ends. [ILLUSTRATION]
