Began drawing of mass between eastern palm capital and coffin, western half.
Removed gold sheet 512, lying on 521.

Proceeded to take up (S) beginning at north.
A staff [ILLUSTRATION] about 2.5 x .8 cm, wood covered with very thin metal plate (black patina) and inlaid with faience and carnelian.
The faience pieces are also thin and fragile. Both sides are exactly alike. Removed dislocated pieces and other pieces not from (S), being No. 513 (1)-(36).

Continued taking up upper side of (S).

Removed wood 514 lying on northwest corner of 521 and treated rest of wood on 521.
