Men arrived from Quft. First lot of about sixty with Said Ahmed. Get them cleaning camp.
Mr. Childs Frick called about 11 a.m., on his way from the Abyssinian trip to America. Had lunch and stayed until about four. Saw excavations.

Ordered shaft south of G 2024 cleared.
Laid out work east of G 2300 [= G 5190].
