X the stela is missing Lepsius Erg. XXXI above. The wall is broken through into pit A.

South wall of older mastaba.
This great block in falling struck the bottom of the second course from the top, broke off the lower edge and caused the west wall to bulge at [SIGN].

(4) G 4611 south addition
See figure above. Apparently this (G 4611) is an enlarged mastaba. The inside wall of G 4611 addition is the south wall of the original mastaba. The reason for the extension southwards is not clear. In the southwest corner of G 4611 addition some one has dug a hole in the filling to a depth of about 150 cm which we found filled with sand. The addition does not appear to contain either a pit or a serdab.

See figure on page 63. The railway has been brought around to the west of G 4611. The debris from G 4611 is being thrown into the wagons from above. In the street next to the Great Wall, the sand and debris is being excavated to floor, the great blocks
