- Notes
- Late in the 2005 CBE field season, a very poorly preserved mummy (perhaps of Roman Period date based upon what appears to be bitumen resins thickly coating the visible surfaces) was found in the sand, approximately 1 m beneath the modern surface. There was no tomb, burial pit (the mummy was not on the hard ground surface), coffin, nor artifacts – merely an isolated mummy on its back, head oriented southeast and feet oriented northwest.
