Clearing Pits A-E of mastaba 2095 [= G 3095] of limestone and dark debris.
Finished clearing sand and under-lying hard-packed dirty debris from between mastabas 2095 [= G 3095] and 3002.
Finished clearing chamber Y of mastaba 3003.
Clearing chamber Z of mastaba 3003 of hard-packed dirty debris. In debris remains of a double statuette. The front wall of the chamber was taken down in an effort to save the statuette, but it crumbed to pieces at the first touch.
Clearing Pits A and B of mastaba 3003 of sand and limestone debris.
Pit D of mastaba 2097 [= G 3097] cleared.
Cleared chambers X and Y (Y may belong to 3005) of mastaba 3004 of sand and under-lying hard-packed mud debris. In chamber X a fine stela, the surface of which is however flaking badly. On the “log” is a cartouche.
Telegraphed Fisher contents of Daressy’s letter.
A cold N.W. wind all day.
Hafiz called in the evening, bringing a lot of nuts, and an alabaster bowl which I told him to buy for me.
