Clearing street east of 5030 of sand and hard-packed gravelly debris.
Clearing street between 5020 and 5110 of sand mixed with limestone fragments.
Finished clearing burial pit of 5010 A
Cleared out debris and Roman burial from G 5230 S. In underlying sand was found: - Right forearm and clenched fist of male statue, painted red, limestone; fragments of another smaller red-painted limestone arm; and other painted fragments.
Cleared out rubble debris from space between 5230 S and 5220. In debris: - fragments of alabaster statue (life-size or larger); fragment of arm of smaller alabaster statuette; fragments of two white marble mace-heads; etc.

A party of Australian hospital nurses came with Colonel Miles to see the works.
