Sirry Bey is a loud speaking, positive man. He brought up the matter of my concession at the pyramids and I explained the original division and later alterations.

Dunham drew another pan of area c-d on a scale of one fifth cause of the many small fragments and inlays, which made the plan one tenth too complicated.

We took up the two north legs (back legs?) of the stool (No. ii). These are of much thinner gold leaf than that of the chair (i), and except for the claws and the knob at the back have almost no modeling. The wood is again entirely reduced to shrunken decayed fibers. The frame of the seat of the stool we have not yet identified among the fragments.
The removal of the two legs of stool (ii) enabled us to clear away the floor rubbish to a line nearer to the flower elements and to take two photographs of these (vertically).

Inlays from the border of these lie as far west as the west wall.
