  • Remarks
There is confusion as to the location of shaft G 6040 C. The English (Vol.14.p.028) and Arabic (book 6, p. 410) excavation diaries have plans showing it in the NW corner of the mastaba, W of shaft G 6040 A and N of shaft G 6040 D; this matches Weeks' (Giza 5, p. 87) description. However, all other plans, including those published by Weeks, show shaft G 6040 C as the SE-most shaft, S of shaft G 6040 B and E of shaft G 6040 E; this corresponds with the description on unpublished manuscript page GN3_L14_p048. The correct location of this shaft has yet to be determined.
