Mud tags (execration figures) with hieratic inscriptions in black ink found in inscribed pottery jar in mastaba S 679/705. These kinds of figures often are intended to be stylized representations of bound captives. Writing the name(s) of detested or feared individuals (or groups) on such figures, then destroying or mistreating them, was intended to neutralize negative influences or actions they might be suspected of harboring. Hochrechteckig, mit abgerundeten Ecken, stielartiger Fortsatz in der Mitte der Oberkante ("Kopf"); hieratische Aufschrift mit schwarzer Tinte.
