- Remarks
- Note that A.M. Lythgoe originally numbered some tombs in Cemetery 2100 as 2500. G 2100-I Merib (= Lepsius 24) was originally called G 2500, and tomb cards by Lythgoe (dating to 1905-1906) also refer to G 2501, G 2502, and G 2504. These are presumably minor mastabas east of Merib (perhaps = G 2102? G 2104?). Much later, the Expedition numbered the minor tombs east of the north niche of G 2000 (Lepsius 23) as the G 2500s. There is no relation between Lythgoe's old numbers and Cemetery 2500. (PDM, May 2007)
