Day of rest for the men.
I took the 8:30 train for Cairo and arranged for the bank to send Dr. Reisner £E 40. Went with Hafiz to the mosques of Gamir Refaiyeh, Sultan Hasan, Gamir el- Muaryed, Mardani and Tombs of the Caliphs. Called on Mr. Blanchard. At 5:30 went to a reception at the American Diplomatic Agency. Came out to Hafiz’s village for the second night of the wedding.
