Removed the lower beam of the two which carry the big electric light reflectors. [ILLUSTRATION] section of old arrangement and mounted it on a rope swivel. [ILLUSTRATION] plan of new.

Treated wood on ground with celluloid solution.

No. 1046: This is the wood and cloth on top of the middle pile of pottery, see page 952/953 and A4172.
(a) lifted east-west wood which seems to be a boarding (box-lid?) and (ii) the "gray muck" underneath, and (iii) swept up. Under ii is more east-west wood (perhaps bottom of box).
(b) treated in the same way. There are certainly two layers of east-west wood, one over and one under the cloth. (i.e. - a box?)
